Color Guard

The LHS Color Guard is the non-musical section of the LHS Crimson Regiment that provides additional visual aspects to the marching band’s performance. The Crimson Regiment competes in Colorado Bandmaster Association’s marching bands fall competition season, where the band has taken 1st or 2nd place for the past 10 years.  In competitions, the guard’s performance adds to the overall score of the band – especially in the visual performance scores. The marching band and color guard also march in parades and perform a 15 minute half-time show for at-home LHS football games.

By synchronizing different colors and styles of flags, rifles, sabres and other pieces of equipment pertaining to the music, as well as a mix of ballet, jazz and contemporary modern dance, the color guard interprets the band’s music into a stunning visual element.

  • Color Guard Auditions – May
  • Marching Band Season – August through October

As members of the marching band, the color guard has the same marching fees as band members.
